50/50 Pot: Jim Kinard, our speaker was the lucky one.  We are also lucky, in that he donated his winnings to Living Endowment.

Newsletter: Randy Duncan's number was drawn.  He wasn't here at the time, so the pot goes to $15.00 next week.

Keep Lindy Lorenson in your prayers.  He is currently at Via Christi hospital in Wichita.

Jim Kinard from City Go Bus Service was our speaker today. The buses are a service of KDOT  and the City of Salina, and the project started two years ago.

OCCK is the entity managing the system. The service consists of three routes, and covers much of the city.  Interesting note: The residents of the "Indian Village" area lodged so many complaints and threats of law suits, that there are virtually no stops in the area.  So much for that! The buses run with about a quarter mile between stops and they run on a fixed schedule. Buses have a capacity of 24;  12 seats and about 12 standing. They run from 6 AM to 9 PM week days, and take about an hour to make a complete circuit of the route. The main transfer point is at 7th and Walnut. Fare is $1.00.  If a transfer is desired to complete the trip, an additional dollar is charged. Jim said it is more economical to buy a $2.00 daily pass or even a $30.00, 30 day pass which permits unlimited use. Kids ride free with a paying adult.  All buses are handicapped accessible.
